Paradise Island Alpaca Farm
Gabriola Island, B.C.

Welcome to Paradise Island Alpaca Farm.
We are located on Gabriola Island which is a short ferry trip from downtown Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, B.C.
We started our farm in 2005 with 2 alpacas and now we have 6 alpacas, 2 llamas, 30 working hens, 12 hens and one rooster in the retirement villa, 17 Nigerian dwarf goats and 4 rescue miniature horses. The goats and miniature horses are favorites with children.
We encourage visitors to be hands on with our animals. You may feed and pet them. Appropriate treats are provided.
There are often "Farm Ambassadors" (ages 9 to 16) here to give visitors a tour and answer any questions regarding the farm or animals. Our ambassadors also help in the farm store where we sell eggs, toys and alpaca wear. Children who are interested in being an ambassador can always come and talk to us.
A short video from Island CTV produced by Bruce Williams can be viewed below.
From July to August we are open Thusday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm. Off season starts on September 1st, hours are Saturday only from 11am to 3pm weather permitting.
Please note: Paradise Island Alpaca Farm is a working farm. We suggest proper footwear is worn so you may fully enjoy you visit.
You can download our pamphlet (down below) for more information.
We run by donations and the kindness of friends.

Hope to see you soon,
Dave & Taylor Turrie
